Have you ever thought what are the most important trends Among all Social Media Trends ?
To answer this questions we even don’t need to use any analytics application and it won’t take an extensive research to discover and measure most important trends in Social Media.

Gaining followers and fans in one hand and gaining shares, likes, PlusOne, retweets, mentions, replies and/or any type of citation on the other hand are the most important trends in Social Media and these trends seems to be everlasting trends as they define social influence and the higher influence is all that matters in Social Media.
Gaining more influence is the most essential trend in social media, just in a way that gaining more visitor is always the most essential measure for websites and most important trend among webmasters and analysts.
No matter who you are, where are you, what you do and what’s happening in the world being influential is most important thing. Breaking news, daily or seasonal trends are either created, boosted up, used and/or managed by the most powerful influencers which shows no trend is bigger than the trend of influence.

Being “influential” I agree is most important no matter what you are or do. Why? without influence how will you succeed at social media. You can’t , if you have no influence on people.
Heatherionk Thanks for your comment, By this post I am trying grab attentions to the root of all the trends, which is in my opinion “trend of influence”. Highlighting influence as the fundamental trend might help us not being distracted by huge amount of information and waves of daily trends.

Well I think any other trend (rather than the trend of influence) born because influencers think that’s a trend or they somehow support it. Now the question is what are the principles of influence? I like to study this topic and see what really ignite the influence?
The other characteristic by “trend of influence” is its timelessness, Having influence is always a trend, yet principles of influence or ways of obtaining and expressing the influence might be different from time to time.

Very interesting, I would like to know and keep up with the trend of influence! So I can always be influencial! 🙂 Have you come across what is trending right now to keep people in the trend of influence? I have not! Would love you to keep a ongoing study so I can follow those things. Maybe I don’t have a lot of influence at this time but, maybe the trend of influence and what makes you influencial will change and the way I am will be perfect. How can you change the way you influence people? Wouldn’t it be something you have or you don’t?
